The world is outraged at the moment. Protests, the virus and black lives matter has shown so much rage and anger in the human race. This has shaped me as a person. Personally, I don’t understand why we can’t all get along. I do with my family. If I can do it, so can they. For some reason, I don’t understand all the exposure about the virus. The news seems to make everything sound so serious when there are studies of just the opposite. When it comes to change, I feel I have changed more on an emotional or spiritual side. I have taken the time to focus on myself for once instead of fixing other people. I didn’t know it would feel so satisfactory. My story exist within my family’s hearts and mostly in my room. I know that sounds strange. A teenager who doesn’t post everything they do on the internet. I grew up without a phone. I never thought it was important for people to see exactly what I was up to. In twenty years, people will go through my old stuff and find pictures of my family.

Also, recently my father was gifted a list of ancestors. A giant book filled with history about my family and others. The way I preserve history is pictures and oral speaking. I tell people about who I am and what I like. I help people with stuff I already went through. I love talking. It’s interesting to get personal with people.

History matters because we must learn from our past mistakes as well as teach others how to behave. It demonstrates the way the world works. For example, capitalism. Imagine a world where no one knew what capitalism was. Then imagine them stepping off a plane and heading to New York. They would have no idea what was going on around them. They would feel lost. History helps us learn and adapt to our surroundings and each other. It shapes our very universe.
